ITINERARY

You will stay at 1 of 2 delightful private villas close the the quiet town of Tequis in central Mexico.

Located just 20 minutes from Aeropuerto Internacional de Querétaro, you will arrive on Saturday, January 21st and a private driver will pick you up and transport you to the villas. You will settle in and have an evening meet and greet at the villa with our host and artist.

On Sunday, the group will meet for a welcome breakfast and then tour the town of Tequisquiapan We will visit the famous Miniature Museum and have lunch/supper in town. We will then go back to our villas and relax.

We plan on breakfast and a 2:00 (lunch/dinner). Lunch will be the main meal of the day. Concerning dietary requests, our hosts has a few options:

“It is easy to accommodate Mexican food for vegetarian meals, especially when we eat in restaurants. If you have a special meal or request beforehand we can accommodate that also. The meals go day by day, except for breakfast in which we will offer a selection each day. Most likely a buffet with fruit, juice, coffee/tea, pan dulce (sweet rolls), eggs, cereals, etc.”

Every morning, you can also start off with a yoga session and have breakfast cooked by our private chef to get you ready for your day!

On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, we will have breakfast at 8:30 and then begin our watercolor workshop from 10:00 to 2:00 at the main Villa classroom (breaking for lunch). We plan to start with instructional classes then en plein air paint on designated afternoons, mostly in the town of Tequis and surrounding areas. We may also plan additional afternoon classes depending on the weather. Afternoons can also be filled with optional guided tours with our private tour guide or just relaxing at your villa!

On Wednesday, we will leave the villas at 10:00 am for Cadereyta then on to Hacienda Tovares with lunch in the Hacienda (plein air painting optional).

On Friday, we will end the day with a hosted farewell dinner. The next day, a private driver will transport you back to the airport for your trip home!
